Our Different Programs

English as a Second Language for Adults
In a coastal community like Brasilito, where tourism plays a vital role in the local economy, English is more than a skill — it’s a key to opportunity. That’s why ACCAI offers a year-round English as a Second Language (ESL) program for adults, designed to support local residents in gaining the language tools they need to thrive.
This ongoing program provides consistent, high-quality instruction in a supportive and engaging environment. It helps adults from Brasilito and surrounding areas build real-world communication skills that lead to better job prospects, increased confidence, and deeper engagement with their community.
For many of our participants, this is their first chance to access formal English education. For our supporters and sponsors, this program represents a powerful investment in long-term community development. By supporting adult ESL education, you’re helping to:
-
Strengthen the local workforce
-
Empower families
-
Foster greater connection between cultures
-
Break cycles of limited opportunity
Your support helps keep this vital program running all year long, expanding access to education and creating lasting change—one class, one conversation, one life at a time.

Youth Program
Our program is designed to equip students with exceptional English skills that will enhance interactions with foreign visitors or residents in the area. The English as a school subject component reinforces what they've learned in class, while tutoring aspect provides additional support for those who struggle or have difficulties with the subject at their formal school. Similarly, the math tutoring program aims to alleviate the common difficulties many high school students face in this subject providing a safe space for students to clarify their doubts and build confidence to achieve academic success. We also recognize importance of recreation and socialization for young people, providing opportunities for them to have fun and with their peers through activities like pickleball. Additionally, the mentoring component focuses on supporting the emotional and psychological well-being of our students.

ACCAI's new program for elementary school students is designed to provide strong foundation for academic success. With English classes, art, math, and literacy, students from pre-k to 6th grade will have the essential tools to express themselves, understand the world around them, and develop critical thinking abilities. The inclusion of reading, writing, and math lessons will help students master important concepts and prepare them for future academic and real-world challenges.
